  1. Darin,

Eat more calories. Seriously. Your Basic Metabolism Rate (BMR - what your body needs to do nothing but lie in bed all day) at 228 pounds is close to 2,000 calories. If you eat less than that, your body is going to assume it needs to store calories for the long run and begin to store fat. That's counterproductive. Use the MFP guide to get to a good calorie level, and keep exercising. It worked for me - I know it can work for you!

    1. Thanks Jeff! I'm slowly building up; gonna shoot for 1200 today, then 1500 or so...then try to level off about 1500-1700. Very difficult to go back to eating more, however. But...I'll make it happen. Thanks a lot! I appreciate the input, support.

  2. The body wont store anything if you are using the calories as energy for your workout. It would try to store it if you lived like those slobs you see on tv that cant even get out of their own bed.
The human body also has to follow the conservation of mass-energy. If you want to lose weight, simply intake less calories than you expend (I.e. working out, or crapping).
